Project Manager - Civil Engineering (Land Development)

This firm is seeking a Project Manager to join our Pottstown, PA office. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer with a passion for land development, client relationships, and mentoring the next generation of engineering professionals.



What You'll Do



  • Manage private subdivision and land development projects from concept through construction.
  • Develop site layouts, grading plans, roadway alignments, stormwater management systems, permitting packages, landscaping plans, and technical reports.
  • Perform site feasibility studies, zoning analysis, due diligence, and regulatory research.
  • Interpret municipal ordinances and ensure designs comply with local, county, and state requirements.
  • Develop creative engineering solutions for complex project challenges.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and technical documentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and CADD technicians to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to private-sector clients by delivering exceptional service and practical engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate with developers, attorneys, municipalities, and regulatory agencies throughout the permitting and approval process.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and continuous learning.


What We're Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in land development design, infrastructure projects, or private-site development.
  • Strong knowledge of subdivision and land development principles, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; experience with GIS and Hydroflow is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
