We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Highway/Traffic Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives on managing complex projects, building strong client relationships, and mentoring engineering teams. Key Responsibilities

Manage highway and traffic engineering projects from proposal through design and construction support.
Serve as the primary client contact for public and private sector transportation projects.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Prepare project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Oversee highway geometric design, traffic studies, traffic signal design, roadway safety improvements, and transportation planning initiatives.
Coordinate with NJDOT, county agencies, municipalities, and other regulatory organizations.
Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking.
Mentor junior engineers and project staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (New Jersey preferred or ability to obtain through reciprocity).
10+ years of progressive experience in highway and/or traffic engineering.
Proven experience managing transportation infrastructure projects for NJDOT, county, and municipal clients.
Strong knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, NJDOT standards, and transportation design best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Synchro, HCS, or similar transportation engineering software is preferred.
