A growing, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Bridge Design Engineer to help lead complex transportation infrastructure projects across the New York metropolitan area. This is an opportunity for an experienced bridge engineer to take ownership of major bridge and highway projects, mentor technical teams, and play a key role in project delivery and business growth.

• Lead the design and delivery of major bridge and transportation infrastructure projects
• Work on complex bridge replacements, rehabilitations, highway interchanges, and public realm improvements

• Lead bridge design teams on transportation infrastructure projects from concept through construction
• Perform and review structural analysis and design of steel and concrete bridge systems
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD requirements and applicable local agency standards
• Oversee development of design criteria, calculations, specifications, quantities, and construction documents
• Serve as Package Lead or Engineer of Record for bridge design packages
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including highway, traffic, geotechnical, drainage, and utilities
• Monitor project schedules and design milestones to ensure successful delivery
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, field modifications, and construction-phase design issues
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and technical oversight of bridge deliverables
• Support proposal development, technical pursuits, and client relationship management
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple project teams

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York or ability to obtain within six months
• 10+ years of bridge design experience
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
• Experience designing multi-span steel and concrete bridges, including new construction and rehabilitation projects
• Proven experience leading bridge design teams and managing technical delivery
• Familiarity with Design-Build project delivery
• Experience working with transportation agencies such as New York State Department of Transportation, New York City Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
