We're partnering with a well-established structural engineering consultancy in New York City that is continuing to grow its buildings team. They are looking to hire a Structural Project Engineer (EIT) who is eager to work on a diverse portfolio of building projects while developing both technical expertise and project management responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 3-6 years of structural design experience who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and wants exposure to projects from concept through construction.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for a wide range of building projects using current building codes.
- Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
- Develop drawings within a BIM/Revit environment.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project delivery.
- Review contractor submittals and provide construction phase support.
- Assist with project scheduling, budgets, change orders, and overall project coordination.
- Conduct occasional site visits and field investigations as required.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- 3-6 years of structural engineering experience within a consulting environment.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or actively working toward PE licensure.
- Experience designing building structures using steel, concrete, masonry, and other common structural materials.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
- Experience using Revit or other BIM software.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and coordination skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
