We are seeking a Civil Project Manager - Roadway to join our growing transportation team in Connecticut. In this role, you'll lead the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and highway infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and public agencies. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer looking to take ownership of impactful projects while advancing their leadership career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage roadway and highway design projects from planning through construction support.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders.
  • Develop roadway geometry, drainage, utility coordination, traffic control, and construction documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including CTDOT and municipal agencies.
  • Ensure projects comply with CTDOT, AASHTO, and applicable federal and state standards.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical and professional development.
  • Assist with proposals, client presentations, and business development initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Connecticut PE preferred
  • 8-15 years of experience in roadway, highway, or transportation engineering.
  • Proven experience managing transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CTDOT design standards, policies, and project delivery processes.
  • Experience with roadway design software such as MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing client relationships and multidisciplinary project teams.
