Senior Structural Project Engineer | Washington D.C.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support and lead building design projects from initial planning through construction. This position involves overseeing technical work, coordinating project teams, reviewing engineering documents, and working with clients, architects, and other project stakeholders.
The successful candidate will contribute to project planning, technical problem-solving, quality control, and client relationship development while helping ensure projects meet applicable codes, schedules, and design requirements.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

Advanced degree preferred.

Professional engineering license required; additional structural engineering credentials are a plus.

Seven or more years of experience in structural engineering, building design, analysis, and construction documentation.

Previous experience coordinating project teams or managing engineering projects preferred.

Knowledge of building codes, seismic considerations, and structural systems for resisting lateral loads.

Experience with structural analysis software, building information modeling tools, and standard engineering documentation platforms.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage competing deadlines, and work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
