Years of Experience: 8-10+ years Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water/Wastewater Project Engineer II with 8-10 years of experience to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, experience leading design efforts, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams while supporting project managers in delivering high-quality engineering solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and utility infrastructure while advancing your technical and leadership capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
  • Design and coordinate projects involving:
    • Water treatment facilities
    • Wastewater treatment plants
    • Pump stations
    • Water distribution systems
    • Sewer collection systems
    • Force mains and gravity sewers
    • Storage tanks and utility infrastructure
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental disciplines.
  • Support project managers with budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and client communication.
  • Perform hydraulic and process design analyses.
  • Conduct site investigations and field assessments as required.
  • Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Support construction administration, including site visits and project inspections.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, regulations, and company QA/QC procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience designing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles, permitting requirements, and construction practices.
  • Experience preparing plans, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
