Senior Civil Project Manager
Location: Parsippany or Freehold, NJ
Salary: $140,000-$170,000
An established engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to join its New Jersey team.
This role will focus on managing and overseeing land development projects from initial planning through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience, the ability to lead a team, and a background in managing client relationships and developing new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee civil engineering and land development projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
- Lead and mentor project engineers, designers, and CAD staff.
- Oversee project scopes, proposals, budgets, estimates, and deliverables.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, builders, municipalities, and other clients.
- Support business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and securing repeat business.
- Review designs, plans, and technical documents to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and outside agencies.
- Monitor project financials, billings, and overall profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- PE license preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, land development, or the A/E industry.
- At least 3-5 years of project management experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
- Strong leadership, communication, client management, and business development skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range is $140,000-$170,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, professional development support, and performance-based incentives.
