Structural Engineer - Project Manager

We're partnering with a respected structural engineering consultancy in New York City that is looking to add a Structural Project Manager to its growing team.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced structural engineer who has already stepped into a project management role and is looking to take ownership of exciting building projects from concept through construction. You'll work alongside talented engineers, architects, and clients while managing project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage multiple structural engineering projects from proposal through construction completion
  • Lead structural design for commercial, residential, mixed-use, institutional, and high-rise building projects
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables
  • Review structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports for quality and accuracy
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams
  • Manage project meetings and communicate progress to clients and internal leadership
  • Mentor and oversee junior engineers and designers throughout project delivery
  • Perform site visits and provide engineering support during construction
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable building codes and industry standards
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Current or previous experience working as a Structural Project Manager is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively pursuing licensure
  • Strong experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems
  • Experience managing client relationships and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, SAFE, RISA-3D, or similar
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of NYC Building Code, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and other applicable design standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
