Key Responsibilities
-
Lead and perform comprehensive engineering evaluations, analyses, field inspections, design drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimations.

Lead and perform standard mechanical engineering analysis of existing and new building mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Utilize the latest building codes and technologies to deliver optimized system designs.

Act as a technical expert to coach, mentor, and develop junior engineering staff.
Mandatory Qualifications
-
Licensure: Active New York State Professional Engineer (NYS PE) license is strictly required.

Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Experience:
-
Technical Codes: Working knowledge of New York State Mechanical, Energy, and Plumbing codes, as well as NFPA standards.

Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compliance: Valid Driver's License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for required travel.
Desired Skillsets & Preferred Background

Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems specifically for schools (K-12/Higher Education), healthcare facilities, and commercial projects.

Specific technical expertise in chilled and hot water systems, industrial process-related mechanical systems, building HVAC, controls, plumbing systems, and fire protection.

Energy Modeling experience utilizing Carrier HAP, TRANE TRACE, or eQUEST.

LEED Green Associate credential and/or Building Commissioning experience.
