Job Title: Senior Civil Site Engineer
Location: Buffalo, NY Salary: $130k-$170k About the Opportunity A well-established, multidisciplinary Architecture and Engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Site Engineer to join its growing team in Buffalo, New York. The successful candidate will manage and lead civil/site engineering projects throughout New York State, mentor junior engineers, serve as a primary client contact, and play a key role in the continued growth of the civil engineering department. Working within collaborative, multidisciplinary project teams, this position will be responsible for site design, technical oversight, project management, client coordination, and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of comprehensive civil/site engineering projects.
• Prepare and oversee site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater management systems, roadways, parking lots, utilities, and pedestrian/vehicular circulation.
• Manage project teams and mentor junior engineering staff.
• Review engineering plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Perform technical and quality reviews to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
• Obtain required permits and approvals.
• Conduct site visits, project investigations, and provide construction support as needed.
• Travel throughout New York State on occasion.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State.
• 10-20 years of civil/site engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience delivering projects in:
  • K-12 Education
  • Higher Education
  • Healthcare
  • State and Municipal markets
• Experience with watershed modeling and hydrology/hydraulic software including:
  • HydroCAD
  • Hydraflow Express
  • TR-55
  • TR-20
  • or equivalent software
• Experience with:
  • NYS Stormwater Management Design
  • SWPPP preparation
  • Erosion & Sediment Control Plans
  • NYS SEQR process
  • Environmental Assessment Forms (EAF)
• Familiarity with municipal site plan review processes and local utility coordination.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor technical staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
