A nationally recognized engineering consulting firm is seeking a Vice President – Land Development Practice Lead to help drive the growth and strategic direction of its New York practice.

The Opportunity

As Vice President, you will lead the continued expansion of the Site/Civil Engineering practice, overseeing project delivery, client relationships, business development, and team growth across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects.

This role is ideal for a proven leader who enjoys both the technical and business side of engineering, someone who can win work, build lasting client relationships, mentor teams, and deliver high-quality projects that shape communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • New York Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 14+ years of progressive experience in Land Development.
  • Proven success leading large civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong background working with municipalities, DOTs, DPWs, and public agencies
  • Track record of business development, client growth, and winning new work.
  • Deep understanding of local permitting, zoning, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
