Are you an experienced Project Architect looking for an opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects, broaden your sector experience and join a practice where people genuinely enjoy coming to work?
Conrad Consulting is working in partnership with a well-established and growing architectural practice in Leeds looking to appoint a talented Project Architect to join its friendly and collaborative team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, technically accomplished Architect who enjoys the challenge of running projects, coordinating design teams and seeing buildings progress from initial design through to completion.
Importantly, this isn't a role where you'll be pigeonholed into one particular sector or stage of the architectural process. The practice enjoys a varied portfolio of projects, providing plenty of opportunities to broaden your experience and develop professionally.
The Practice & Working Environment
Our client is a respected architectural practice with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a diverse range of sectors and building types across the uk.
The practice operates from a modern, open-plan studio, encouraging collaboration, creativity and communication between colleagues.
The working environment is friendly, sociable and supportive, with an emphasis on maintaining a healthy balance between professional commitments and life outside the office.
There's a particularly positive team culture, with regular social events throughout the year and a genuine appreciation for health, wellbeing and an active lifestyle.
It's an environment where people are encouraged to develop their careers, contribute ideas and enjoy being part of the wider team.
The Role - Project Architect
We're looking for an experienced, confident job-running Architect who can take responsibility for the design, coordination and delivery of architectural projects.
You'll be involved across multiple RIBA stages, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Responsibilities will include
- Taking ownership of architectural projects from design development through to construction and completion.
- Leading and coordinating project teams, including Architectural Technologists and junior colleagues.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Producing and coordinating architectural design and technical information.
- Liaising with consultants, contractors and statutory authorities.
- Overseeing project programmes, design coordination and information delivery.
- Ensuring projects comply with relevant Building Regulations and planning requirements.
- Supporting the professional development of junior team members.
Ideally, applicants will demonstrate:
- ARB registration and approximately 5+ years' post-qualification experience within UK architectural practice.
- Proven experience independently running architectural projects.
- Strong technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations.
- Experience working across multiple RIBA stages, particularly the technical and delivery stages.
- Confidence managing client relationships and coordinating external consultants.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
- Revit experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
The practice is committed to developing its digital capabilities and can provide Revit training and ongoing support for an experienced Architect transitioning from another software platform.
What's on Offer?
- £40,000 - £50,000 salary, dependent on experience.
- A diverse and interesting portfolio of architectural projects.
- Genuine responsibility for independently running projects.
- Revit training and ongoing professional development.
- Modern, open-plan office environment.
- Friendly, collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Regular company social events.
- A positive approach to health, wellbeing and active lifestyles.
- Paid professional membership fees.
- Continuing Professional Development and in-house training.
- Two paid charity days annually.
