Permanent
Leeds, Yorkshire and the Humber
An ambitious and career-driven Project Architect is required to join a superb, medium-sized contemporary architectural practice based in a stylish Leeds City Centre studio.
This award-winning practice has developed a strong reputation for delivering striking, innovative projects across the UK. The studio works with a wide range of clients across multiple sectors, including build-to-rent high-rise developments, community projects, education, leisure, residential, mixed-use schemes, and masterplanning.
As a genuinely cross-sector practice, the business is well established, financially secure, and continuing to grow. Their modern, open-plan studio near Leeds Dock is home to a talented team of architects and designers, offering a vibrant, energetic, and supportive working environment where hard work, commitment, and quality design are genuinely recognised.
Culturally, the practice offers a rewarding and flexible environment, with an understanding approach to balancing professional commitments with busy family life.
The Role
The practice is now looking to appoint a suitably qualified Project Architect to take a leading role in the design and technical delivery of a major 1,200-unit build-to-rent residential development.
Working as part of a talented wider support team, you will help spearhead the project through the design and technical delivery stages, taking responsibility for coordination, client communication, consultant liaison, and delivery through to final handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Architect who has previously acted as a project lead and is confident managing complex projects from concept through to completion.
The practice is 100% Revit-based, so strong Revit and BIM capability is essential. Alongside this, you will need excellent job-running, technical, and client-facing skills.
What We’re Looking For
The successful Project Architect will ideally have:
- ARB registration, with RIBA affiliation advantageous
- 5+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong design flair and sound commercial awareness
- Excellent technical knowledge, including working drawings, UK Building Regulations, and planning applications
- Strong Revit skills and a solid understanding of BIM processes
- Previous experience running or leading projects
- Experience within residential, commercial, education, or mixed-use sectors
- Confidence chairing meetings, attending site, managing contractor progress, and liaising with clients and consultants
- The ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality work on time and to budget
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
- A genuine passion for high-quality architecture and design
- Ambition to progress and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
Why Join?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and ambitious architectural practice with a strong pipeline of work and a supportive studio culture.
Benefits include:
- Salary of £40,000 – £48,000, depending on experience
- Flexible working hours
- Hybrid working policy, with most of the team working 3–4 days per week in the office and the remainder from home
- Modern, open-plan Leeds City Centre studio
- Opportunity to take a leading role on a landmark local project
- Supportive, talented, and design-led team environment
- Genuine career progression within a growing practice
